Themed ‘Localising Sustainable Goals in Land Use Planning and Development Control, the celebration of this year’s World Town & Country Planning Day 2024 focuses on reaching out to a program to disseminate the role of land use planning and progress control in implementing sustainable development goals at local levels towards driving the sustainable development.
In conjunction with the celebration, the Department of Town & Country Planning (TCP) is organising a 3-days exhibition beginning Nov 15 to 17, 2024 at Times Square Shopping Complex in Berakas.
An event marking a continuous program of TCP in disseminating the land use planning role and progress control in generating the nation’s development towards sustainable development, the exhibition features 5 main segments.
These segments aim to share several initiatives at the land use planning level and progress control in supporting the sustainable development goals as well as a showcase of several online systems where the public can know further on the functions of several online services provided for the convenience of development applications and complaints.
The event will also open up a bilateral interaction platform for the public to enquire or seek advice on specific planning on the development progress process or other relevant development matters as well as showcase a draft of planning schemes, guidebooks and standards through the “What’s Your Say” segment.
Members of the public are invited to provide feedback or sharing sessions in this segment and to take advantage of the exhibition to better understand relevant TCP services. – LYNA MOHAMMAD
