Brunei Darussalam as the coordinating nation for the cooperation project on Tafsir Ilmi publication for Religious Council of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore (MABIMS) hosted a Steering Technical Committee meeting on Tuesday and yesterday at The Rizqun International Hotel.
A delegation from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore attended the meeting chaired by Islamic Da’wah Centre Director Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim as the head of Senior Officers Meeting (SOM) for Brunei Darussalam urged delegates to coordinate and exchange ideas with experts from MABIMS countries to attain the aspirated hopes.
The meeting was expected to achieve goals and objectives through the proliferation of ideas, sharing experiences and information with the delegation. Heads of delegations from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore also delivered their remarks.
Assistant Professor at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Dr Hajah Sarinah binti Haji Yahya deliberated on ‘Mankind’, the Indonesian delegates on ‘Water Sea, River, Rain, and its equivalent’, ‘Heaven and Earth’ by Malaysian delegates and ‘Plants’ by Singapore delegates.
The permanent secretary at the MoRA also hosted the delegates to a dinner.
Head of Public Relations, Internationals and MABIMS at the MoRA Haji Mohammad Albi bin Haji Ibrahim, as the head of MABIMS Secretariat for Brunei Darussalam welcomed the delegates and hoped the meeting would continue to strengthen ties. – Azlan Othman
