(ANN/KOREA HERALD) – Seunghan, formerly a member of the boy band Riize, is set to debut as a solo artist, SM Entertainment announced on Friday. The label confirmed that Seunghan is focusing on pursuing his solo music career, with plans for his debut in the latter half of next year.
Seunghan (pic left by SM Entertainment) originally debuted with Riize in September of last year but halted his activities in November after photos and videos from his trainee period, considered “inappropriate for a minor,” surfaced online, sparking controversy. Although SM Entertainment initially stated last month that he would rejoin the group, strong backlash from fans led to his departure from Riize just two days later.
Despite the mixed reactions, a portion of the fanbase has shown continued support for Seunghan, with some going so far as to release a statement through a law firm, calling for his return to the group.
