    Ex-inmate rehabilitation discussed

A workshop on the effectiveness of rehabilitation and reintegration of former inmates focused on the latest rehabilitation procedures and reintegration methods.

The two day workshop organised by Aftercare Support Association (AFSA) was facilitated by two speakers from Persatuan Pengasih Malaysia.

The workshop yesterday also shared experiences of Persatuan Pengasih Malaysia’s programmes in helping former inmates. The workshop module included challenges to re-entry, case management, the re-integration programme, essential life skills and building the social support network and a positive mindset.

AFSA President Hajah Juhana binti Haji Mohd Jaya hoped the participants will use the workshop as a guide to support former inmates more effectively. The workshop aimed to improve skills and techniques to assist the former inmates.
