Korean Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Kim Soung-eun yesterday hosted a cooking class at his residence.
Spouse of the Brunei Attorney General Datin Faridah binti Yussof, Canadian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Ambra Dickie, Laos Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Sengdavanh Vongsay, Thailand Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Boosara Kanchanalai and United States Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Caryn McClelland were among the participants.
The ambassador’s chef, Lee Kisu demonstrated how kimchi and gujeolpan are prepared.
The Korean ambassador noted that there has been a growing interest in Korean cuisine alongside K-Pop and K-Drama.
He said that since the start of his tenure in the Sultanate, he has organised several cooking classes, though yesterday’s event was the first at his residence.
