Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) Acting Director Haji Ahmad Abdussalam bin Haji Abdul Rahman highlighted numerous collaborations in the religious field established through the MABIMS platform between the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and Department of Islamic Development (JAKIM), Malaysia.
He said PDI recently held a meeting to establish bilateral ties with the PENAPISAN and Exhibition Section of Islamic Dakwah Centre in Malaysia from May 21 to 26, covering several Malaysian departments and ministries.
He made the comment in a welcoming remark during a visit by the Malaysian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Dato’ Raja Reza bin Raja Zaib Shah and senior officials from the high commission to PDI in Kampong Pulaie.
Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh welcomed the delegation.
PDI also frequently receive invitations from non-governmental organisations (NGOs) such as Hidayah Centre Foundation (HCF), Persatuan Cina Muslim Malaysia (MACMA) and several other NGOs in the form of dakwah, the acting director said.
The high commissioner and delegates were briefed on dakwah development implemented by the centre. – Lyna Mohamad
