Eleven individuals from academia and the hospitality industry were recently certified as ASEAN National Assessors in the Front Office, said the Tourism Development Department in a statement yesterday.
The newly certified professionals participated in the Training of Trainers for ASEAN National Assessors in Hotel Division for Front Office programme from November 6-11.
The programme equipped the participants with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to evaluate and assess the front office operations, ensuring hoteliers adhere to the highest standard of quality and service, said the department.
Participants received certificates at a ceremony yesterday. Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab was the guest of honour.
