The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) organised a Khatam Al-Quran at Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque yesterday.
Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin was the guest of honour. Deputy Permanent Secretary I at the MPRT Haji Mohd Yusree bin Haji Junaidi and Deputy Permanent Secretary II at the MPRT Hajah Dahliana binti Haji Aliakbar were also present.
The event began with a waqaf donation from the MPRT by the minister to the mosque’s Head Imam Rozisham bin Haji Chuchu.
The event continued with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and followed by recitation of Surah-Surah Lazim, Takhtim, Doa Khatam and Dikir Marhaban.
It continued with iftar and Maghrib prayer.
The event also saw a Tazkirah presented by Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) lecturer Dr Mohammad Hilmy Baihaqy bin Haji Yussof.
Syariah Court

The Syariah Court’s Tedarus Al-Quran event came to a close yesterday with an event at Brunei Supreme Court and Syariah Courts Building.
Permanent Panel Judge of the Syariah Court of Appeal Dato Seri Setia Haji Zaimi bin Haji Talip led the event.
Dato Seri Setia Haji Zaimi led the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah. It was followed by a mass recitation of Al-Quran verses.
It continued with the recitation of Takhtim by Syariah Subordinate Court Judge Haji Kaharuddin bin Mohd Ali. Syariah Subordinate Court Judge Mohd Shah bin Haji Taip recited a Doa and Syariah Subordinate Court Judge Haji Al-Bolkiah bin Haji Md Diah recited a Doa Selamat. The event also saw 59 Syariah Court staff receiving contributions handed by Dato Seri Setia Haji Zaimi.

The Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) through its Youth Religious Programme Secretariat organised a Khatam Al-Quran in conjunction with Ramadhan.
PDI Director Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh was the guest of honour at the event seeing participation by Da’ie Youth Volunteer Body and As-Syahadah Muallaf Youth. The event began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by Haji Abdul Rajid followed by recitation of Khatam Al-Quran and Doa Khatam led by Da’ie Youth Committee member Adib Zainul Zaky bin Haji Abdul Manaf. It continued with the recitation of Takhtim led by Muti’ah Group. The event also saw a Dikir Marhaban by PDI officers and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam read by As-Syahadah Muallaf Youth member Muhammad Firas bin Kalong@ Ibrahim.
It concluded with a presentation of souvenirs, iftar and Maghrib prayer.

Belait District’s government departments and agencies continued their Tedarus ceremony to mark Ramadhan at STKRJ Lorong Tiga Selatan Mosque, Seria recently.
Acting Belait District Officer Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Muhammad led the group accompanied by Belait District Religious Affairs Office’s Head of Religious Officer Mohamad Aliyani bin Ismail.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Tedarus Al-Quran led by Haji Amirol Hafidzin. It continued with the recitation of Tahlil and Doa Arwah led by imam Haji Noor Azhar bin Haji Harith.
