The Tedarus ceremony held in mosques, suraus and religious halls in conjunction with Ramadhan ended with the Tedarus closing ceremony and Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque on Wednesday.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman among those in attendance.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the minister, followed by Tadabbur Al-Quran delivered by assistant lecturer and director of the Core Knowledge Centre at the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Syahiran bin Haji Mohd Sofian.
The Khatam Al-Quran event began with the recitation of Takhtim, led by Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque officials, mosque takmir committee members and the Mosque Affairs Department officials.
Doa Khatam was recited by mosque official Mudim Haji Amran bin Haji Mohd Salleh.
The ceremony concluded with the recitation of Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam by Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque Affairs Officer Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Awang Emran bin Haji Kunchang.
The Tedarus closing ceremony was conducted by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) through the Administration Department and the Mosque Affairs Department in collaboration with takmir committee member at Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien mosque and Radio Television Brunei.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, Ra’es of KUPU SB Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar and Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Pengiran Anak Dr Haji Amiruddin Alam Shah bin Pengiran Anak Haji Ismail also attended.
