Lyna Mohamad

Collaboration talks for a programme on the introduction of Cybersecurity Training in Brunei Darussalam took place between Kolej International Graduate Studies (KIGS) and EC-Council, based in Singapore recently.

The programme will be offered to participants interested in diversifying cybersecurity skills and enhancing their work employability.

A basic understanding in computer literacy is required to join the programme.

KIGS is also planning to offer higher level programmes of cyber credentials including EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA), Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator (C|HFI) and Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO).

This will represent the beginning of a journey towards enhancing the capacity to develop cybersecurity programmes leading to formally recognised qualifications required by the local industry.

EC-Council is an international council of E-Commerce consultants with headquarters is based in the United States.

It is the world’s largest cybersecurity technical certification body operating in 145 countries.

The initial target group to be trained in the EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) credential is students of KIGS.
