Students from the Primary Section of Chung Ching Middle School (CCMS), Seria brought a vibrant English atmosphere to the entire campus as the month-long learning held as part of the English Month activities concluded.
Organised by the English Department of CCMS Primary Section, the activities held across different grade levels showcased students’ achievements in English learning and ignited their passion.
The activities included Fashion Walk: Occupational Day for Year 1 students, where the students showcased their unique visions of their future dreams with English speeches while also donning costumes representing their envisioned professions, presenting the images of their future careers.
Year 2 students demonstrated their English spelling prowess in the Spelling Bee competition, showcasing their accuracy and agility in spelling English words and showcasing their solid foundation in language learning.
Meanwhile, Year 3 students partook in a fun-filled Treasure Hunt, emphasising teamwork as they tackled various tasks, developed their collaborative, communication, and problem solving abilities, while also integrating English learning with teamwork.
The English Riddle competition was held for Year 4 students combining education with entertainment, kindling the students’ interest in learning. Through engaging riddle games, students enhanced their grasp of the English knowledge, making learning more dynamic and interesting.
The culmination of the activities held throughout the month led to the Speech Choirs for Year 5 and Year 6 students, where the participating students used melodies to perform classic English poems.
Through cooperation and performance, the students conveyed the beauty of poetry to the audience, showcasing their outstanding language application and expressive skills. – Daniel Lim
