Enforcement officers of the Halal Food Control Division at the Syariah Affairs Department inspected and found non-halal food preparation outside of a restaurant, following photos viral on social media showing dubious food preparation outside the premises in Batu Satu, Jalan Tutong.
While the restaurant serves non-Muslims, the regulations state that no non-halal activities are permitted to be exposed to the public.
To safeguard the interests of the Muslim community, the restaurant owner was instructed to stop such an activity outside the premises, and is being investigated for further action.
