The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), through the Department of Youth and Sports, continued the Belia Cinta Tanah Air (BCTA) programme yesterday, in conjunction with the 38th National Day celebration.

The BCTA programme, which began on February 12, served to use the PBCTA E-Exhibition as a platform for participants and youth organisations to interact virtually and exchange views, especially in the field of youth development.

According to the E-PBCTA Programme 2022 Manager Amirul Syazmie bin Ibrahim, the e-exhibition involved 13 youth organisations and four youth groups from E-PBCTA comprising the Brunei Youth Council (BYC), Young Professionals Network (YPN), WeCare, SuperSquadBN, Tambang.BN, Global Shaper Com BWN, SUKA, Youth Transformation Community Club, Permata Hijau Youth, Brunei Council on Social Welfare (MKM), Brunei Darussalam AIDS Council, An-Najah, 576KM2, Brunite and Ya Nur.

With the advent of new norms following the outbreak of COVID-19, Amirul Syazmie said various aspects of daily life are now focussed on the digital world, including how to interact, meetings, seminars, learning and economic activities.

The e-exhibition saw participants being briefed on the organisations involved and introduced to active youth associations, movements and the activities.

The programme was aimed at increasing knowledge among the youth and instil interest in them to continue to participate in activities and virtual discussions to promote creativity and innovation in a bid to develop youth.
