Enabling businesses digitally at expo

Attractive prizes, exclusive promotions and a digital banking experience await the public visiting Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam’s (BIBD) pavilion at the Local Product Expo 2022, held from December 1 to 4 at Bridex Hall 1.

Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah; Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman and Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin were present at the BIBD pavilion yesterday.

Carrying the theme ‘Enabling Business Digitally’, BIBD’s booth focusses on the range of digital banking solutions for both retail and corporate customers, bringing the digital agenda to the mass market and encouraging cashless transactions.

The public can experience BIBD’s newly launched Self-Service Kiosk, which enables customers to purchase items directly from the touch-screen kiosk. The Self-Service Kiosks, powered by BIBD NEXGEN, are complemented by BIBD’s existing range of cashless payment methods such as BIBD QuickPay and cashless card terminals. BIBD is also showcasing their products and solutions aimed at helping local micro and small enterprises grow, ranging from the MSME accounts with BND50 minimum account opening deposit, to the bank’s SME360 service combined with digital banking convenience through BIBD BizNet. Through BIBD BizNet, business can efficiently manage their business accounts easily, conduct secure payments and transfer services while also conducting bulk payments.

During the Local Product Expo, BIBD will also highlight success stories from local SMEs during a dialogue session.

The bank’s Digital Customer Service Ambassadors will be on hand throughout the expo period to assist customers with hands-on demos showcasing the capabilities of BIBD’s NEXGEN Wallet mobile app.

BIBD will also highlight their successful BIBD SEED entrepreneurs.

Interested parties can visit the BIBD booth during the expo to be guided on how they can be onboarded onto both Community for Brunei and BIBD SEED.

Local businesses who sign up for BIBD QuickPay will be able to enjoy an exclusive fee waiver of their Merchant Discount Rate (MDR).
