Porsche Brunei commemorates this year’s International Women’s Day with the “Trailblazer” campaign where three inspiring women from Brunei Darussalam shared their empowering stories of success with impactful accomplishments in their respective lines of work.
According to Porsche Brunei, represented by QAF Eurokars Sdn Bhd as the authorised importer and dealer, the inspirational “Trailblazer” campaign aims to empower, highlight and celebrate the achievements of women in Brunei Darussalam. In line with this year’s International Women’s Day theme, #BreakTheBias, the campaign also aims to dispel misconceptions about women and sports cars.
The “Trailblazer” campaign honours the successful women in Brunei Darussalam by sharing their inspiring experiences and encouraging others to pursue careers in male-dominated fields, to pave their own roads to success, and to never shy away from taking risks and being independent. The heart of the campaign is dedicated to fostering female leadership and empowerment.
A series of three documentary-style videos will be produced to commemorate International Women’s Day, in the hope of inspiring women in Brunei Darussalam and beyond.
The video series starts with Nancy Kwang, a senior district director at one of the leading insurance agencies – a male-dominated industry in the country. With more than 30 years of experience, Kwang persevered through trials and tribulations. Despite this, she achieved unparalleled success, evident in her achievement of accommodating 69 leading professionals under her group.
Kwang prides herself in always being optimistic and joyful, as she believes that the energy she exudes rubs off on those around her. She adheres to this principle despite having encountered several setbacks in life, refusing to give up on her dreams and being the author of her own success story.
As an avid fan of sports cars, Kwang shares her passion and experiences. She is the proud owner of a Porsche Cayenne Coupé which she fell in love with at first sight, although she shares that the Taycan tempted her too.
On her participation in the “Trailblazer” campaign, Kwang reflected: “If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And they may not have much planned for you. All women should invest wisely in two things, choices and time. The choice is yours, and once a decision is made, just make it work and you will be where you want to be.”
Meanwhile Mimi Rahzia – is featured in the second “Trailblazer”. Mimi Rahzia, the CEO of a rising health and beauty company with experience in the entertainment industry, was thrilled to share her story and inspire other women. Her drive to succeed is what powers her passion to achieve her goals.
Unafraid to forge her own path, Mimi defines herself as ambitious, independent and optimistic in all aspects of life. She started her current company shortly after attaining her Master’s degree. After just two years of operations, the company’s performance has exceeded all her expectations. On this note, she also encourages other women to be bold in chasing their dreams.
Mimi’s view on women and sports cars is refreshing, sharing that there is no place for labels or prejudice in the modern world. That a woman’s capability is equal to those of a man. She breaks the bias in a Porsche Macan, which not only ensures her own safety and that of her family, but also elevates everyday driving experiences.
With a sense of optimism, Mimi expressed: “Women should start working together instead of against one another. We should have respect for ourselves and each other at all times. There is no limit to what we as women can accomplish. When women support each other, incredible things happen.”
Jeehan Al Humayraa is an interior designer with years of experience working on high-profile projects.
Jeehan Al Humayraa is also the founder of her own high-end home and commercial properties design studio.
She sets herself apart in an environment that is male-dominated by leading the way with innovative and visionary designs. What is as impressive as this is the compassion she shows in both life and business, which truly makes her stand out in the design industry.
Jeehan incorporates her passion for luxury into her designs and is always on the lookout for ways to innovate. Perhaps most impressively, the intensive demands of research and design execution do not stop her from spending quality time with her children, who look up to her as an inspiration.
Her taste in luxury is what drew her attention to the Porsche Macan. Having considered multiple cars at various locations in the past, the experience at Porsche Centre Brunei and the Macan stood out for her. On women and sports cars, she rejects bias, stating that women should be allowed to do whatever they set their minds to.
She encourages women to be independent, as it provides them with confidence.
“Independent women have the ability to support themselves, so they don’t depend on anyone. A woman’s greatest reliance should not be on others, but on herself. A woman’s best sense of security should not be in others, but in herself,” she said.
