The Labour Department uncovered multiple violations during Operation Waspada 54/2025 in Kampong Manggis on March 19, targeting foreign worker accommodations in the construction sector, according to a press release from the Labour Department.

Seven offences under the Employment Order, Chapter 278 were found, including non-payment of wages, lack of written contracts, poor living conditions, and expired Foreign Worker Licences. Employers also housed workers in unauthorised locations and failed to provide jobs as required.
