A main pipe supplying clean water from Bukit Barun Water Treatment Plant, measuring 450 millimetres, to the simpang near Katok B Sixth Form Centre is experiencing leakage due to landslide.
The Public Works Department (JKR) in a press release said emergency repair works are being carried out.
As a result, according to JKR, Kampong Katok B and its surrounding areas will experience low water and no water supply for those living in high areas.
The repair works may also cause water disruptions in Mukim Gadong ‘B’, RPN Lambak Kanan, Kampong Lumapas, Kampong Subok.
The department assured the residents that measures have been taken to address the low
water supply issue.
