Embassy supports school’s enrichment week

The Embassy of Japan is supporting the annual Jerudong International School (JIS) Enrichment Week held from 1 to 5 July 2024.

Activities include a cooking demonstration by the Ambassador’s chef, calligraphy, bon-odori, a yukata-wearing session, judo, 3 Gagaheads comedy performance, Japanese radio taiso (morning exercise) and introduction to Japanese Yokai (monsters), with the assistance of the Brunei Judo Federation, Ms Keiko Nakazono, the 3 Gagaheads performers and the Embassy of Japan.

The activities are being held at JIS, the residence of the Ambassador of Japan and the Embassy of Japan, where the students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in authentic and modern Japanese culture through these activities.

On the first day, JIS students had a lively dialogue with Japanese Ambassador MAEDA Toru on his diplomatic career. – LYNA MOHAMMAD
