Embassy celebrates Lunar New Year

The Embassy of Vietnam in Brunei Darussalam on Friday evening hosted nearly 150 Vietnamese nationals in the Sultanate to a Lunar New Year celebration to give nods to the positive relations between Vietnam and Brunei Darussalam.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Tran Anh Vu briefed the attendees on the developments of the partnership between the two countries in 2023, particularly the outcomes of the official visit of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to the Sultanate in February during which cooperation in energy, halal, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges was outlined.

The ambassador affirmed that the Vietnamese community in Brunei Darussalam, while small, has played an important role in fostering people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

He also highlighted positive results achieved by the Vietnamese business community, which helps promote trade and investment ties between Vietnam and the Sultanate.

He said more Vietnamese companies are doing business in Brunei. – Lyna Mohamad
