Eighty vehicles fined at Tutong roadblock

Eighty vehicles were issued with traffic compound fines during a roadblock at Jalan Pengasing Pantai Seri Kenangan in the Tutong District on Sunday.

Overall 482 vehicles were checked during the operation. Among the violations were illegal modifications, tinted windows with plastic film stickers and others.

Another violation was the possession of contraband cigarettes.

According to the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), the operation involved law enforcers from the Tutong Police District headquarters, the Royal Customs and Excise Department and the Land Transport Department.

The RBPF, in a statement, urged the public to always comply with the traffic laws and ensure that their vehicles are in a good condition and road-worthy. – James Kon
