Seventeen Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) teachers from 11 Southeast Asia Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO) member countries have completed a two-week regional training programme.
The programme on integrating transferable skills into the TVET Curriculum was organised and facilitated by TVET regional centre SEAMEO Voctech.
Ambassador of the Philippines to Brunei Darussalam Marian Jocelyn R Tirol-Ignacio was the guest of honour of the closing ceremony yesterday.
SEAMEO Voctech Acting Centre Director Pengiran Haji Mohamad Sufri bin Pengiran Ali along with the centre’s management and staff were also present.
The programme offered balanced theory and practical exercises to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of transferable skills, on identifying and integrating them into the curriculum.
Programme main facilitator Noorhayati Cynthia Noorhaizamdin along with co-facilitators Dr Paryono and Ariffin Yusof guided the participants to develop actionable solutions that can be applied to their teaching contexts. – Rokiah Mahmud
