Astronomical societies from Brunei Darussalam, Timor-Leste, Vietnam and Indonesia are organising outreach activities in Timor-Leste.
It was aimed at raising awareness on astronomy and safe practices while viewing the solar eclipse.
The expedition team comprising ArisanAstro, Astronomical Society of Brunei Darussalam (PABD), Sumatera Institute of Technology (ITERA) and VietAstro/Ho Chi Minh City Astronomical Association (HAA) travelled to Dili on April 16.
PABD was represented by its Secretary General Hazarry bin Haji Ali Ahmad.
The team of amateur astronomers is expected to be at the path of totallity in Com, Lautem to observe the solar eclipse tomorrow. They will also distribute 1,000 protective solar eclipse glasses.
