    Drug processing lab busted

    ANN/THE STAR – The Malaysian police discovered a drug processing laboratory in Iskandar Puteri leading to the confiscation of drugs, equipment, and vehicles with a total value of MYR2.45 million.

    State Police Chief Commissioner Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat said four men have been arrested in connection with the drug laboratory in operation since April.

    He said two raids were conducted between 7.30am on July 25 and midnight on July 26 where 4.63 kilogrammes of ketamine and 166 litres of ketamine liquid were found.

    “The drugs found were worth MYR2.13 million and could satisfy about 853,155 drug users.

    “The suspects, aged 28 to 44 years old have been remanded for investigation under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he said at a press conference at the Iskandar Puteri police headquarters on Monday.

    Kamarul Zaman said two of the suspects tested positive for ketamine and two possessed previous criminal and drug records.
