A local male suspect was detained by officers from the Tutong Police Station, Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), on October 17 for alleged involvement in drug-related activities in Lubok Pulau village, Tutong.
The successful apprehension of the suspect resulted from a joint patrol by Tutong Police personnel and members of the village neighbourhood watch, during which two suspicious vehicles were identified.
Upon inspection, officers discovered items believed to be drug paraphernalia inside one of the vehicles. The suspect was subsequently handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau for further investigation.
The neighbourhood watch patrols are part of ongoing initiatives organised by local police stations in collaboration with the community. The RBPF remains committed to fostering such partnerships to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents.
