The drive-through vote casting for Kampong Sungai Liang’s new village head ran like clockwork at the SPARK Multi-Purpose Hall yesterday, following a recent briefing enlightening residents on the new voting and election process.
The sole candidate for the position was Mohammad Haszrin bin Bagol, a 34-year-old Bachelor’s Degree in (Usuluddin) graduate from Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA). Mohammad Haszrin was previously a substitute bilal at Kampong Sungai Liang Mosque, and involved in religious and communal activities in the village.
