It was an unforgettable experience for Liverpool and Manchester United fans in the Sultanate as English Premier League (EPL) icons John Arne Riise and Teddy Sheringham set The Progresif Sdn Bhd’s booth at the 28th Consumer Fair abuzz during the ‘Meet the Legends’ event yesterday.
The event, held in collaboration with the World Football Legends (WFL Asia), Top-Bins Event Management and Progresif, provided football enthusiasts a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect with legendary football figures.
Mohd Nazree bin Haji Abu Bakar, a diehard Manchester United fan said, “I am a big fan since the 1990s and it was the golden age for Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson. Despite the team’s form is not at its best now, I’m still a Manchester United fan.
“I was really excited to be able to meet both legends. It’s been a long time since football legends were in Brunei,” he added.
