DPMM FC star Muhammad Hakeme Yazid bin Said has been named the Singapore Premier League (SPL) Young Player of the Month for June 2023.
The young forward has been recognised for his stellar performances, which saw him plunge a career-best 10 goals this season.
He is the club’s leading scorer, ahead of his teammate Andrey Varankou, who scooped the SPL Top Scorer Award in 2019.
Muhammad Hakeme Yazid, who burst into the scene when he became the second youngest scorer in the competition’s history in 2019, also currently sits fifth in the overall top scorer rankings.
The Brunei international has been in impressive form scoring seven in his last nine matches, including three last month. He has also played a key role in DPMM FC’s biggest win this season in the 6-0 victory over Young Lions.
The 20-year-old has also caught the eye of the Singaporean footballing community with his brilliance, including a 35-yard direct free kick against Hougang United and a spectacular solo strike against Lion City Sailors.
He has been a regular starter this season and emerged as a key player, lining up against first-choice forward Varankou.
