DPMM FC sign Australian defender Patrick Flottmann

DPMM FC have announced the signing of Australian defender Patrick Flottmann ahead of the much-anticipated Singapore Premier League (SPL) 2024-2025 season next month.

The 26-year-old spent last season with K League 2 club Seongnam FC where he scored two goals and made 22 league appearances.

He will be the club’s fourth foreign signing in the new term following the arrivals of Brazilian youngster Gabriel Gama, Portuguese Miguel Oliveira and Mexican Julian Cruz.

Flottmann’s arrival represents a signal of intent to challenge the status quo as the club look to improve on from their seventh place finish last season.

The Brunei-based outfit have already filled six foreign imports having also retained the services of Kristijan Naumovski and Farshad Noor.

The Australian has also played for Indian Super League club NorthEast United as well as stints with A League Men sides Sydney FC and Brisbane Roar.

A centre-back by trade, he is expected to partner alongside Yura Indera Putera and Nur Ikhwan Othman in defence.

The club have been actively training at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in gearing up their preparations for the new season.
