DPMM FC suffered their third consecutive defeat in the Singapore Premier League (SPL) after losing 3-0 to bottom side Tanjong Pagar United FC at the Jurong East Stadium in Singapore yesterday.
The Brunei-based side are heading into a free-fall after slipping to eighth in the table, having started the new year in sixth place.
The Jaguars capped a fine performance having enjoyed their first clean sheet since March 2023 and their biggest win since a 8-1 drubbing over Young Lions in October 2022.
The Bruneians’ woes showed no end as they conceded as Tanjong Pagar forward Syahadat Masnawi helped his side to a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute lead.

Needing a response, DPMM FC came within whisker of finding the equaliser after Davis Ikaunieks saw his shot crash against the bar after a pinpoint cross by Azwan Ali Rahman.
Eager to open his goal-scoring account, Davis made contact with the ball for a header but it ended high over the bar.
The team managed to find further opportunities as Miguel Oliveira hit straight at Tanjong Pagar United goalkeeper Matt Silva before Azwan Ali’s shot deflected off a defender for a corner.
Tanjong Pagar forward Salif Cisse was kept onside before following up a darting run with a sublime chip over Kristijan for his team’s second of the game.
