DPMM FC foreign duo extends contract

DPMM FC have been handed a boost after foreign imports Kristijan Naumovski and Farshad Noor signed a new contract extension ahead of the upcoming Singapore Premier League (SPL) season.

Both players played key roles in the club’s seventh-placed finish in the Singapore top flight last season.

Following the decision to part ways with pre-season signing Akmal Tursunbaev, goalkeeper Kristijan has provided assurances behind the sticks since joining the team midway through the season last year.

The former Shkupi shot-stopper was named man of the match during DPMM FC tie with Yangon United during the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) preliminary round and a number of league games. Having been part of a season rebuild, midfielder Farshad contributed with two goals in 11 league appearances.

The duo will join new signings Gabriel Gama and Miguel Oliveira who put pen to paper earlier this week.

The club’s chase for Moldovan international Victor Mudrac came to an end after the defender chose to stay with his current club Petrocub Hincesti.

The new season commences in May, which will run until May 2025. – Fadhil Yunus
