DPMM FC and IKLS MB-5 will contest the eagerly-anticipated final of the Brunei Under-20 Youth League (BYL) at the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam Field today at 4pm.
The winning teams booked their spots after coming through their last four encounters unscathed as DPMM FC edged Wasan FC 1-0, with IKLS MB-5 also winning by the same score-line against Kasuka FC. Safwan Zawani Sazalee proved the match-winner for DPMM FC while Naqiu Nordin scored a 67th-minute winner to raise hopes of a coveted title for IKLS MB-5.
Fifteen teams took part in the competition contested in a knock-out format. Participating teams included Dash Junior FC; Panchor Murai FC; MSN United FC; FC Phosphor; AKSE Bersatu; Wijaya FC; Setia Perdana FC; Lun Bawang FC; Rimba Star FC; Indera SC; and KB FC. – Fadhil Yunus
