Double trouble

A man with a red code in his BruHealth app and had left his house during quarantine was nabbed by the police with drugs and paraphernalia.

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) through the Marine Police apprehended the suspect and another man travelling on a boat, for the alleged possession of illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia during a patrol around Kampong Sungai Bunga on Tuesday morning.

Police on inspection of a duffle bag of one of the suspects found a packet of straws containing remains and pieces of crystals believed to be drugs along with drug paraphernalia.

The suspects are a 31-year-old local and a 32-year-old permanent resident. The boat and the suspects were brought to the Marine Police base for an investigation.

The case was handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau.
