Double joy for BIBD Aspirasi winners

Two grand prizes await winners of the Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) Aspirasi 6 campaign as the bank announced that the grand prize will now be shared between the two winners, each receiving a substantial BND200,000 in cash prizes.

The announcement was made at a press conference at the BIBD headquarters in the capital yesterday, to introduce the new mechanism of the campaign’s sixth edition.

The new system was in response to the bank’s customer feedback, offering more rewards with better chances of winning. To date, BIBD Aspirasi paid a total of BND4.23 million in cash prizes since its start on September 1, 2018, marking it as the longest and most successful campaign.

Beyond its financial impact, the campaign altered the perspective of Bruneians on long-term savings, fostering a realisation of the importance of securing one’s family’s well-being through prudent financial planning, accelerating the way individuals approach savings and encouraging more people to invest in their future.

In addition, the campaign will feature 288 monthly winners, 16 quarterly winners and two grand prize winners over the next 12 months, providing opportunities for participants to be rewarded.

The campaign is accessible to all via BIBD NEXGEN, with a minimal entry contribution of just BND50 with no maximum limit. “We are thrilled to launch BIBD Aspirasi 6, a testament to BIBD’s continued commitment to encouraging a culture of savings and financial well-being in Brunei Darussalam,” said Head of Product Engineering, BIBD Retail Banking Group Lim Pea Chia at the press conference yesterday.

Meanwhile, Head of Promotions and Campaigns, BIBD Retail Banking Group Ahmad Firdaus bin Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim said that the campaign aims to motivate and reward customers for their commitment to saving.

“Through this programme, we want to promote a more disciplined approach to financial management. BIBD Aspirasi goes beyond simply offering prizes, it’s about empowering our customers or savers to keep saving for their dreams and achieve their financial goals.

“We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to build a secure financial future and BIBD Aspirasi is an important step in that direction,” said Ahmad Firdaus. – Lyna Mohamad
