The Embassy of Kuwait in Brunei Darussalam held a dinner reception to commemorate the 62nd Independence Day and 32nd anniversary of Liberation Day of Kuwait at the Royal Berkshire Hall of the Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club yesterday.
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar was the guest of honour.
The event commenced with the singing of the national anthems of Brunei Darussalam and Kuwait, followed by a moment of silence for the victims of the earthquake that recently struck Turkiye and Syria.
Due to the tragedy, Kuwait stopped all musical activities and events during celebrations, it was shared.
This was followed by a cake-cutting by the Minister of Health, Ambassador of Kuwait to Brunei Darussalam Salah Mubarak Musleh Al-Mutairi and ambassadors of the Gulf Countries Cooperation.
The event also saw the ambassador present a souvenir to the guest of honour.
