Don’t frown of not having enough time for pious acts

Azlan Othman

People should not complain about not having enough time to perform pious acts for Allah the Almighty and using other responsibilities and commitments as an excuse. People can do two things at one time if they use their time wisely. With the blessings from Allah the Almighty, their time will not be constrained.

This was said by Kampong Keriam Mosque guidance class teacher NurFareeza Syahirah binti Rosli in her talk ‘Blessings of Time’ during the Munajat night organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) on Saturday.

NurFareeza added, as Muslims, we should prioritise Allah the Almighty over other things in our life and perform good deeds to receive blessings.

Women are responsible not only in looking after the well-being of the family, community and in nation building but also in spiritual activities to strengthen faith, belief and pious acts to gain blessings from Allah the Almighty, she said.

The Munajat night saw women participants comprising religious teacher trainees, guidance teachers for female congregant groups at Mohammad Jamalul Alam Mosque in Belait District, Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque in Kampong Sengkurong, Kampong Keriam Mosque, Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam Mosque in Kampong Sengkarai, and Utama Mohammad Salleh Mosque in Pekan Bangar, Temburong District.
