An anonymous donor yesterday provided a wheelchair to Ainorbanun binti Haji Badar, who has been facing difficulties walking since 2011.
RPN Meragang Zone II village head Haji Mohammad bin Haji Tamin representing the donor handed over the wheelchair at the woman’s residence.
Ainorbanun is a full-time housewife while her husband Pengiran Haji Ariffin bin Pengiran Haji Bungsu is a retiree.
The donation was aimed to alleviate mobility challenges faced by Ainorbanun, according to Haji Mohammad. Her health struggles began in 2011 when she experienced persistent pain in her left leg, hindering her ability to stand for a long period. Despite a minor operation in 2018, the pain persisted affecting her right leg and the backbone.
Ainorbanun was referred to Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) for an examination of her spine or backbone, believed to be the source of her discomfort. Another operation has been scheduled for her early next year.
The donation serves to assist Ainorbanun and her husband, as they lack sufficient income. – Rokiah Mahmud
