Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Yayasan) yesterday presented BND123,000 in donations during a ceremony at its headquarters in Jalan Perdana Menteri. Some BND100,000 was given to the Turkiye and Syria Earthquake Humanitarian Fund.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, in his capacity as the co-advisor for the Turkiye and Syria Fund Committee, received the contribution.
Another BND15,000 was presented to Brunei Young Leaders Convention (BYLC) scheduled to be held from June 12-14. The contribution was received by BYLC Chairman Iswandy bin Ahmad.
Meanwhile, BND8,000 was distributed to two house fire victims, Muhammad Hazman bin Abdul Nasir from Kampong Sungai Besar and Hajah Siti Khadijah binti Haji Ibrahim from Kampong Telanai.
All contributions were handed over by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof in his capacity as Chairman of Yayasan Board of Directors.
Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak as the Acting Managing Director of Yayasan, was also present.
