A total of 160 orphans received donations from the Temburong District Orphans Fund at a presentation ceremony yesterday.
Acting Temburong District Officer Mohamad Yassin bin Haji Ahmed, the guest of honour, presented the donations. Acting Assistant Temburong District Officer Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Suhaili, the chair of the ceremony, committee members of the Temburong District Orphans Fund and other donors were present.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Tahlil, Doa Arwah and Doa Selamat, followed by the guest of honour and donors presenting the donations to the orphans. The contributions, stemming from the Temburong District Orphans Fund, the National Orphans Fund, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, private individuals and companies, aimed to ease the financial burden for Hari Raya Aidilfitri. – James Kon
