KFC Brunei, in collaboration with Brunei Council on Social Welfare (MKM), donated to 10 underprivileged families from Kampong Ayer and two non-governmental organisations, with aid exceeding BND10,000 at a ceremony at KFC Yayasan yesterday.

The families received essential groceries, KFC bucket meals and meal vouchers.

In addition to the support for the families, KFC Brunei also presented BND5,000 each to Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam and the Brunei Darussalam National Association of the Blind (BDNAB). Head of KFC Brunei Siti Hamizah binti Hassan, highlighted the company’s commitment to addressing social issues, stating that their overarching goal is to eradicate hunger and empower underprivileged communities through various initiatives.

“This is why, aside from corporate social responsibility efforts like this, QSR Brands, our parent company in Malaysia, is working on a range of initiatives, including the KFC Scholarship for underprivileged undergraduates and the Sehati Campaign, which supports the education of over 1,400 children from challenging backgrounds,” she said. – Lyna Mohamad
