Darussalam Services Sdn Bhd (DSSB) held a Doa Kesyukuran at the International Convention Centre, Berakas yesterday, to celebrate the safe return of DSSB haj pilgrims.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan attended as DSSB Chairman.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a welcoming speech from Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd Managing Director Haji Mahmud bin Haji Mohamed. A religious talk by Abdul Rahman bin Ajak from Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan was also part of the programme.
Some 550 guests, including pilgrims and special invitees attended. A video reflecting the haj pilgrims’ journey was also shown, and the event featured a marhaban performance by DSSB officers and pilgrims.
The deputy minister presented souvenirs to key haj officials and invited speaker. DSSB also distributed a commemorative book Ristaan Haji to each pilgrim. – Adib Noor
