Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd (DHSB) on Wednesday organised a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony at VOCO International Hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia in conjunction with the 76th birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to pray for the monarch and members of the royal family’s health and longevity.
The event coincided with a Dikir Marhaban ceremony to bless 453 Haj pilgrims who have completed their Haj rituals for 1443 Hijrah, and a celebration marking the 29th anniversary of DHSB.
DHSB Managing Director Haji Mahmud bin Haji Mohamed led the cake cutting to mark His Majesty’s 76th birthday, and to commemorate DHSB’s 29th anniversary.
Attendees also prayed for peace and prosperity of the nation and for people to be spared from disasters and diseases.
The first flight of returning Haj pilgrims departed for Brunei Darussalam from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia yesterday with the second flight scheduled for today.
