I’m not sure why every shopping mall that I’ve visited in the country seems to struggle to keep their toilets dry and clean. In the post-COVID pandemic era, one would think that we are now more accustomed to a certain level of hygiene. Instead, these facilities are often flooded and stinky.
I believe the public needs to be educated on how to use these facilities. A handful of people believe that someone else would clean up after them, thus affording them the freedom to do whatever they want. Such level of selfishness needs to be eliminated, and what better way than to start promoting it at schools among those are still impressionable.
Additionally, the authorities should carry out frequent inspection on toilets at shopping malls to ensure that they are up to code, and slap a hefty fine on those who fail to comply.
We spend weekends at the shopping mall to unwind, not to get stressed over whether or not to brave their public facilities.
