A programme for professional development in geomatics was held recently at the Authority on Building Control and Construction Industry (ABCi).
The programme, a collaboration between the Survey Department and the Brunei Institution of Geomatics (BIG), saw some 66 participants comprising government officers, BIG members, registered licensed land surveyors and representatives of other professional bodies attending.
The programme aimed to promote professional knowledge in geomatics as well as networking between the government and private sectors for sharing of best practices and innovation. Topics such as ‘The Usage of GPS in Meteorlogy’,’HSE in Surveying’ and ‘The Profound Significance of Mapping in Geology’ were discussed. – James Kon
