Developing leadership, competency among civil servants

Thirty officers from government ministries are attending the 34th Executive Development Programme for Middle-Management Officers (EDPMMO) to further develop leadership knowledge and competencies of civil servants at the middle management.

The programme is aimed at strengthening the capabilities of future leaders to meet the needs of the public, especially in an era that faces global and digital disruptions at a rapid pace.

The programme which began yesterday was officiated by Permanent Secretary (Civil Service Governance) at the Prime Minister’s Office Ajman bin Haji Meludin.

Public Service Department Acting Director-General Dr Norfarizal bin Othman and Civil Service Institute (IPA) Director Dr Hajah Noor Maya binti Haji Md Salleh was also present.

The EDPMMO is a component of the Civil Service Leadership Pipeline (CSLP) under the Public Service Department and the 34th EDPMMO is the second edition conducted by IPA. – Azlan Othman
