Deputy minister visits Malaysia, Singapore

Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan as the Vice-President of Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) made a goodwill visit to Malaysian Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office (Religious Affairs) Dr Naim Mokhtar yesterday.

The deputy minister is on a nine-day visit to Malaysia and Singapore.

The visit is part of the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ (MoRA) strategic plan to enhance networking and increase cooperation.

The delegation will visit religious councils in Malaysia and Singapore as well as Singapore Scholars and Islamic Religious Teachers Association (PERGAS).

Accompanying the deputy minister were Director of Islamic Legal Unit of MoRA Haji Hardifadhillah bin Haji Mohd Salleh; Acting Secretary of MUIB Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Akop; Head of Administration and Meeting Division at the MUIB Department Ariffin bin Dato Paduka Haji Abu Bakar; and Head of Sukuk Financing Office of the Treasury Department at the Ministry of Finance and Economy Dr Haji Mohd Aidil Yusrie bin Haji Shari.

Also joining the delegation is Badan Tanmiah Harta Majlis Ugama Islam (BTHMUI) represented by Director Haji Noor Hadi bin Haji Noor Kaseh; Senior Finance Manager at the Finance Division of BTHMUI Siti Norhamizah binti Haji Abdul Hamid; as well as managers at the Investment, Trade and Marketing Division at BTHMUI Siti Norhafizah binti Haji Abu Bakar and Mohammad Adika bin Mohammad Yusof.
