By command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, His Majesty has commanded that the appointment of Dato Seri Paduka Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw as Deputy Minister (Energy) at the Prime Minister’s Office is terminated with immediate effect, according to a statement from His Majesty’s Office on Monday evening.
Following the termination, His Majesty has consented to appoint Haji Mohammad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Deputy Managing Director of Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn Bhd, as Deputy Minister (Energy) at the Prime Minister’s Office.
Meanwhile, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd Hajah Farida binti Dato Seri Paduka Haji Talib has been appointed as Permanent Secretary (Energy) at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The termination and appointment take effect Tuesday, October 24.
