Dengue cases climb to over 4,000 in Laos

VIENTIANE (XINHUA) – Dengue cases in Laos have risen to 4,095 since January 2023, according to data released by the Lao Ministry of Health.

A report issued by the Centre of Information and Education for Health under the Laos Ministry of Health said the country reported 67 new cases of dengue fever, bringing the total number of infections to 4,095.

The highest number of dengue patients was reported in Oudomxay province with 807 cases, said the report.

Some 638 cases were reported in Khammuan province, while 375 cases were reported in Xayaboury province, and 359 cases were reported in Laos capital Vientiane.
