Delegation attends Kota Kinabalu meeting

Officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) are in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for the 46th Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore (MABIMS) at the Pacific Sutera Hotel which began yesterday and will continue until Friday.

The Brunei delegation is led by Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim as the Head of the SOM MABIMS for Brunei Darussalam. The Sultanate will present a paper, based on the meeting’s theme ‘MABIMS Family for Prosperity of Ummah’ and reports on strategic cooperation under MABIMS  2021/2025 strategic plan as well as exchanging ideas to enhance planning and coordination of strategic focus at MABIMS stage.

The meeting is also the nation’s commitment to MABIMS.

Joining the permanent secretary are Head of Public Relations, International and MABIMS at the MoRA Special Senior Duties Officer Haji Mohammad Albi bin Haji Ibrahim as Head of MABIMS Secretariat; Acting Director of Mosque Affairs Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri; Special Duties

Officer Grade 1 of Public Relations, International and MABIMS Pengiran Muhammad Azrin bin Pengiran Jarail, as Head of Brunei MABIMS Secretariat; and Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Research Officer Mohammad Muslihuddin Syah bin Haji Mustafa.

Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the MoRA Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang and senior officers at the ministry were present to bid farewell to the delegation at the Brunei International Airport.
