DDT FC secured their maiden victory in the Brunei Elite Futsal League (BEFL) 2024/2025 season after defeating Kota Ranger BK FC 3-1 at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex on Saturday night.

DDT FC Team Manager Mohd Sabtu Sapar said, “This maiden success is certainly not just an achievement on paper, but a symbol of all efforts, sacrifices and fighting spirit of a team that never knows how to give up.”

After a winless run in four matches, DDT FC finally moved into the win column helped by an effective strategy in attack.

According to Mohd Sabtu, the determination of the players has become a real proof that the team’s vision and mission, especially in raising the local talent in the Temburong District, is clearly on the right track.

He said, this moment is definitely a starting point for greater achievements and this victory is also a message to other competitors that DDT FC is not just an ordinary team, but a team with clear goals and high determination.

DDT FC, who are at the bottom of the BEFL table, clearly tried to find an early goal, but the team’s supporters finally felt relieved after Awangku Mohd Azreen opened the scoring in the 15th minute and doubled the lead in the 23rd minute.

Kota Ranger BK FC, who tried to claw their way back in the game, however, were stunned when DDT FT found a third through Zulhazmi in the 37th minute.

Though Pengiran Muhd Khairul Huda scored for Kota Ranger a minute before time, the damage had already been done.

DDT’s first taste of victory helped lift them off bottom after four games in the newly-revamped league.
