Da’wah centre aims to launch online Islamic guidance platform

The Islamic Da’wah Centre plans to launch a platform offering guidance classes to muallaf in 2023, said the centre’s Director Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh yesterday.

The director said the platform will be able to offer guidance on Iqra’, Al-Quran and fardhu ain for muallaf, especially young muallaf, who are not able to attend physical classes.

Yesterday, during a certificate presentation ceremony for 83 participants of nationwide muallaf guidance classes, the director said to ensure the muallaf guidance programme is continuously implemented, the centre took the initative to implement classes virtually, as well as physical classes that followed the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 pandemic guidelines.

A total of 276 active participants took part in the classes in 2021 which were not only held at the PDI, but also throughout the Sultanate.

Yesterday’s event was to give recognition to muallaf who completed the Iqra’ class (Muallaf Guidance Class 2) and Al-Quran Class (Muallaf Guidance Class 3).

Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim presented certificates to the muallaf.

Also present were Assistant Director Haji Ruslan bin Haji Sulaiman; Senior Religious Officer Haji Ahmad Abdussalam bin Haji Abdul Rahman; and President of Nurul Islam Association Haji Mohd Hazwan bin Abdullah.
